Rather than having to go through the repainting stage again, the guitars were upholstered in a naugahyde ( vinyl ) material with a row of dome shaped upholstery nails around the join between front and back panels.
never seen that done to a guitar before, interesting

I'm sure I've seen a Tele where someone's done that 0_o Isn't there an artist model that has something similar?

just the vinyl covering on the one i posted before got me thinking of covering a guitar's body with something, those body stickers are just ghastly

dont get me wrong those murph things look awesome

I had seen one of the 12 strings before on the Silvertone fan page. Never saw the whole line, though. Fun to look back at a time before strat copies.
