i found this photo randomly google image searching seafoam green and cant get it out of my head.
anyone know how much it costs to re cover an amp your self?
i know there are lots of kids on here that have done it.
i would need to cover a 112 combo amp and a 112 cab
also please point me to some good vinyl sites so i can look at colors n shit
thinking pale green, daphne or sonic blue hues. doesn't have to be exact matches because god knows fender cant even make up its mind what color DBL actually is anymore

If you're going to do this you should give some thought to doing it in a colour close to ice blue.

I just took Zaphods pic and moved the 'hue' slider around in photoshop. You could do the same and check out your amp with purple tolex.

If you get stuck I'll take a few screenshots to explain it.

im thinking i should go buy an old shitty amp and re do it to teach myself how the vinyl works.
do the old one in blue and yellow, go to the junk yard and get a buick LeSabre badge and bust off the Le part and smack it on there

I have done many tolex jobs as of lately. Get yours self a fabric tape measure and some contact cement and go at it. It is not a hard job, you just have to take note how the corners were done on it before you rip off the old.
