It also says Made in Japan but the seller says it's new.

Actually, they have done away with the 'Crafted In Japan' all new Japanese Fenders say 'Made In Japan' again.

Cheesy, and probably more suited to a Disney collector than to a guitar player...

But not as bad as it could be really, so.

After all, a white scribble and red guard can't ruin a guitar for me. The white stock would be class on anything but a Fender (where it needs to be matching 8)

Other companies have gone overboard with retarded liscenced guitars...

I'd rather either of the other two, the Gibson is absolute cheese... While I could somehow see the other two being someone's idea of classy. Maybe not mine, however.

I like the Squier version better. It's pink.

Do like the pickup and knob treatment, though.
