hey, we are thinking about spraying brittany's white lace sensors black, for use in pat's yellow stang. the pickups in it suck (as per his accurate discription, of course), and she already had a blue and red set laying around, so it seems obvious.

i have some rustoleum hi gloss enamel spraypaint laying around, but will that look cheesy?

the stock pickups i think would have been sort of shiny, right? i know the plastic they used on strat pups was glossy.

anyway, i think robroe has done this before, i wanted to see if anybody had any tips before i went crazy.

thanks guys.

i did it with mustang bass pickups because they only come in black and i wanted white.

i could have waited 5 years trolling Ebay to find a set of 79-83 white bullet bass pickup covers in white but instead i just drove 5 minutes over to home depot.

i bought KRYLON FUSION for plastics in the color DOVER WHITE. they also make like mega white white, but i liked the tinted look of dover better.

i painted this shit over the summer...i think august i cant remember. the shit hasn't chipped off yet. granted i don't play the thing as much as guitar but i do play it.

heres the website to browse.

oh yea, I can second on that stuff being good. I used it to spray a skull on my bike helmet, haha. it holds to up to abuse really well.
