he was simply saying it looks a bit western, not that the telecaster wasn't made to be a baritone or something.
whoa. im going to have to ask you to turn it down a few notches. where is this aggression coming from? are you a bit surly?
jazz isn't a culture? well it certainly was, if its not now.
you have a really narrow view of what culture is. race is culture but music isnt? thats really interesting.
"Culture or civilization, taken in its wide ethnographic sense, is that complex whole which includes knowledge, belief,
art, morals, law, custom, and any other capabilities and habits acquired by man as a member of society."
says Edward Burnett Tyler.
doesn't say race anywhere. you seem to think that culture means where someone came from. it really means whats going on around them
now.
any time someone creates something, they are contributing to the contemporary culture, their context. thats what culture is.
jazz in the 20's 30's 40's... that was a way of life for many people. like hip hop since the 80s. or cassette/lo fi/ DIY culture in the 80s 90s (and now, depending on your local culture.)
anyway, i only have been plenty cordial and light this whole time. not sure why you are all up in my biz over this. please go back over the conversation. what did i say?
