If things like Fender are going up......will they ever come back down or is that it now?
Sorry if that's a silly question, is there anything that's not going up, I notice VOX stuff seems to half already gone!

I know Fender prices have gone up and think I read somewhere that Rickenbacker prices had gone up too. I guess that all American sourced guitars are going up in price due to the US$/ £ exchange rate. I wanted to buy another Fender guitar this year but not sure whether to hold off or buy one now!

Fender's prices are just retarded now. GC hollywood had a new japanese Mustang bass for almost $1000. That shit was $500 or $600 last year.

Fender is stupid. They cannot command a higher price, when they have squier shit that is just as good for 1/3 of the price of MIM/MIJ, lets not talk about the MIA, thats utterly rediculous. This economy and they raise prices...they'll learn the hard way, they'll end up being like GM and Chrysler soon, and be bought out again.

I could understand the UK prices going up (15%) w.r.t. the dollar exchange rate, but they're going up in the USA too?

indeed.

my MIA tele standard is way better than any mim mij or squier tele ive played, just for the record. but it was made 5 years ago. and it was used and so didnt have factory setup.

I"ve owned a MIA Deluxe Tele and know the quality very well, its indeed great, I've also owned a MIJ antigua RI tele and the MIA is not worth the price for a few minor changes.

There's 88.7 Y to the USD right now. I know what you're trying to say, but that phrasing is all wrong

Unless I had money to burn I wouldn't spend money on a quality Fender guitar. I am drawn to the possibility of buying a Fender Baja Telecaster though as I think they are very good value for money.

i was just having a look at telecasters, fender prices are pretty ridiculous across the board apart from maybe the squier stuff. £739 for that fucking awful joe strummer tele? has the world gone mad?

GOD I AM PRAYING FOR A BUYOUT.

The only "Fender" company worth a damn is Fender Japan, and I desperately want to be able to buy from them again. GOOOOOOOOOO FAIL!

yea yea, I knew someone was going to say that. that's just a matter of where you put the decimal point. the current exchange rate is in favor of japan.
