Are those things really worth that much? The Music Go Round has had a couple usually selling for like $149 - $199.

I don't think here in USA they go for more than 200 usually.

Maybe in the UK, but I would think there would be better guitars for that price in the UK..

My old guitar teacher had one... really nice guitars... and a good price I reckon.

I used to think they were ugly as sin but it's kinda growing on me over time.

I had one for a while - very nice overall. Extremely heavy, though.

I'd love one, I think they're ace looking guitars, but that's too much money. Even with the comedy-pound, you'd still be better off importing one.

Hmm... It looks tonefull but i dislike the long horns on a DC and i've always found Peavey guitars to be a bit soul-less. They just seem to have a mass produced feel that is'nt inspiring. I suppose its a different story with the high end models though?
Personally i think you should pay less and treat yourself to a Westbury Standard which is along similar lines.

Im happy with my telecaster for now, it looks like it'll be my only electric guitar for a while, but its nice to look around

Those things have interesting wiring. The tone pots actually roll off the humbuckers into single coils.

I'm considering a T-40 bass to possibly hold me over until i get a 4003, but I'll most likely opt for a CV Squier instead.

Depending on the model, they can go for quite a bit.

As far as I know, they're supposedly some of the first guitars made with computer-controlled CNC machines or something. This allowed them to save in labor costs and produce a low-cost USA made guitar with good wood and electronics.

Yup. I've always like them, and always liked the ethos. I don't think I could imagine myself playing one though.

Fuck's sakes: what colour and year? I might be interested in a few months, if you're willing to ship to the UK.

Sunburst. Dunno year, have to get back to you on that. It's got the OHSC as well.

Basically, this punker guy I knew gave it to me to do some work to it, replace some switches and "fix" the pickup, which it was merely missing some springs on it. I cleaned it up and started checking it out, then called him in a week to tell him what needed to be done and how much it was going to cost. He says he's in Texas, met some chick, he's not moving back so just sell it and keep the money.

That was almost 3 years ago. I held onto it thinking he'd be back soon enough with such an impulsive move like that, but he never returned and his number changed, so I can't contact him. He hasn't called me since either. So, I have this fucking guitar that needs about $15 worth of parts put in and it's done. I'm tired of it being around, so I'm just going to say fuck it and sells it off.

I'll make a thread in the Classifieds later with pics, with you having dibs. Can sort it all later when I have the guitar in front of me.

makes me think of a cross between a travis bean and one of them 70s gibson marauder type things. apart from the headstock, obviously.

Yep, I love them for similarly Travis Bean-y reasons.
