on january 16th we went and played a set supporting our friend in the mange
but more so i got to play with my new hd camcorder (its super entry level, but also super handy)
turns out the mic is also way sensitive.. so for the next show i'll be putting a cotton ball over it and taping it down with duct tape..
anyways
i've finally gotten around to posting the video on zee ol' youtube

so from the start
Zero Cool @ DV8 pub (pt1/17)

we cover "all" and then go into "strangeland"

i'll be adding on to this as the videos finish processing.

note: gear.
Fill: Fender P Bass, some rediculous awesome traynor tube head setup
KP: some SG clone, running into a fender FM100H 4x12 cab, using amp distortion
me: 71' mustang, switches taped polar opposite, into a sovtek big muff, then a fender fm100H head and 4x12 cab
andy:a baxter drum kit we picked up for 5 bucks from the all purpose voltage heros. apparently we know them? whatever. it works.

Loved it. Good jorb, guys. Big up for Homeless and New Pop Sensation, particularly.

I thought you'd be shrimpier than that, Serfx...
Guess they raise 'em big and strong, out in Albertaca.

Well done.

haha indeed. its almost like we eat our beef out here.

oddly almost everyone i've met from Montreal (sorry i don't have the french keyboard installed) has been a wiry cat.
but i'll figure that out more when i'm there in march

Yeah, we're pasty zombies, out here.
The only beef we eat is in smoked meat sandwiches and I've come to suspect that's 30% road salt.

Awsome, keep me up on your date in Montreal and I'll defo make it to your gig. I'd be glad to have my band support yours, if you don't have that arranged already, too.

Let me know if you need somewhere to crash and wash your shit, when you're here, too.
alas i'm not in town for gigging purposes (although maybe this summer.. we're in the process of figuring out our booking..)
i'll be in town for "work" general union convention whateverness. but the company is putting me and the wife up at the delta downtown
either way i'll be there from the 28th of feb - march 7th. so mayhaps a beer would be in order.
and a poutine.. from my understanding they just don't make them right out here.

I haven't had proper poutine anywhere else than in Quebec and the very BEST poutine can only be found in Montreal.
Prepare to be fed.

:quick throwback:

Haha, yeah... I don't know why I just immediately assumed you were going to be here for touring purposes.
Guess that's the idealist in me.

That union convention could be fun, though, right? All depending on what this union is gathering to address and who's attending, might not be too hard to get a good old circle pit going.

Oh and don't be sorry. I will never, ever tire of hearing Six Pack covers. Ever. No matter how mediocre the band, (not implying that you are) Six Pack ALWAYS works out... It's kinda like the I Wanna Be Your Dog of hardcore.
