Jaguar Project ideas

Hey guys,

I'm ready to start looking around for a second guitar since 'the great purge' and I've settled on a CP Jaguar-esque project. I've owned 3 in the past... but the radius amongst other things really pee'd me off. And the fact that I couldn't get the colour I wanted. So I'm thinking of starting another project and basically have 2 decent Partscasters and my Larrivee.

My ideas so far.
Fiesta red body+rosewood/maple neck with a 9.5" radius, AVRI pickups, custom electronics through trial and error, ping tuners... whatever. My only trouble is sourcing things like bridges/trem and whether or not this project is even do'able? Because isn't the trem further in on the CP's? This recent price increase has really put holes in an otherwise really good plan...

You can find trems and bridges online pretty easily. Maybe not Classic Player parts specifically , including the body, as I don't many of them have been parted out yet.

You could try modding a japanese Jag HH. They've already got a 9.5" radius fingerboard, and since it's a TOM style hardtail, you could route the trem cavity where ever you want. And its already got a 9.5" radius Adjustomatic bridge, just like the CP.

Sounds interesting indeed! I'll have to look more into it of course but that's why I thought I'd ask you fine people :)
The HH routes could eventually annoy the bajesus outta me though. I don't really want to take too many 'shortcuts' tho...

USACG looks quite to be a winner with custom bodies and necks...
