Its $2,200 new.. so that is a pretty good deal. Be stupid to buy a first act for that price though.

I honnestly don't see anything on that spec sheet that warrants a $1,500 price tag, let alone at $2,200.
I don't care what the nut is made of, or how many A's the wood is graded at, it's a First Act. They sell them out of boxes with little cellophane windows on the side, at Radio Shack!
Even if these were absolutely awesome, I completely don't understand why anybody with that much to spend on an instrument would go for a First Act.

Exactly. They are competing with Gibsons and high end Fenders at that price, never gonna do too well.

+410 for a signature? No thanks, and no thanks on that guitar at all.
I've always been really iffy on first acts, I just find them really unpleasing to look at, especially looking at the price of their guitars. They've got too many jumps from 50-200 dollar guitars to $2500 that are probably the same build quality as the lower end models. Plus it probably doesn't help that when I hear the first in 'first act,' I think of starter guitars.

Dude First Act makes like custom shit for THE STARZ like dude from CHEAP TRICK.
They have expensive shit like this, but selling cheap guitars in Wal-Mart probably fucked up their rep.
they have like 12 fucking pages of custom creationz.

Yeah that's basically it, ain't it? It's a rep thing. You sell guitars at wal-mart and radio shack, you're gonna have to wait at least a few decades before people get over it and start giving a shit about your products.
Like I know that this one "the lola" is part of their luthier series that are made by actual luthiers from the Boston area. I'm sure they're great guitars but even if I liked these and I had the cash to drop on something like this, I would still go out and buy a Gretsch instead.

I'm sure that for alot beginners it's both first AND last act.
I'm still amazed that I'm still in the game, considering my first guitar was a $99 Vantage that played like a hunting bow.
If we only could have had quality Squiers, back then...

Hahaha but yeah I don't think I would ever spend so much on a First Act, unless they were actually better than other brands at that price.
