i like the tones that les paul was getting when he was showing the 15/7 watt switch. classic orange.

i think when i go home later i'm gonna spend a while playing straight into it with some humbuckers, i don't do it nearly as much as i should.

Shame he didn't do any cleans after mentioning it, but that's not really what this amp is about for most people I guess. I think it has nice cleans though, it works really well as a bed for pedal demos.

he's got alot of gain only halfway up the dial though, is that 'cause of the volume being up high or does that les paul just have some bastard hot pickups? the jazzblaster with a superdistortion is still only a bit crunchy around there.

Les Paul.

My Telecaster and Jaguar break up at around 10-11 o clock. Humbuckers break up around 9 o clock.

Great tone. someday I'll need an Orange. Much better than most Vox amps I ever heard.

I agree. I think it takes pedals really well - better than the Rockerverb even.
The Blackstar HT-Dual sounds much better through a clean TT than clean RV50 for example.
