Thatguitar started as DGNR8's, then it was mine, then, oh shit, I forgot the guys name, but it made the rounds at OSG too. I know "Jazzblaster" had it, I htink he did the blue refin and added the trem.

i think it would look amazing with a maple neck, but rosewood shouldn't be too shabby.

Would look nice with mint or white pearl pickguard. Sonic Blue is one of my fav colours

i'll see what i can do about a pickguard.
i like the pearloid idea
i'm also wondering about painting the headstock to match.. but i'll need to track down the right blue.
it won't be finished for a while though...
sort of like my
other projects
but it will happen in `09.

Nice one. Personally i would go for 500k pots to warm the sound a little, the 1 meg malarky is out of date imo.

jazzblaster on offset knows the exact name, he got the paint at walmart so it should be easy to track down

so i had some spare time over fathers day weekend. and access to a few fun tools that i don't own
so i figured it was time to get this baby done up.
i had to do a bit more routing to the body, as i wanted to use jazzmaster covers over the pickups.
i could talk about ti but instead i'll let the pictures say everything.
the neck didn't go on as smoothly as i wanted, and i'm missing a tuner.. i'll have to remount, fill , redrill and put it back on.
but its good enough for the music i play.
video / audio demo to come.
pics.

yeah i didn't opt for wide rangers, and just went with 500k pots. the neck pup is super twangy
and the bridge is a sd jb that i picked up from James a year? ago

so i plugged this into my twin to see what it sounds like, but the pickups are to low to get anything off of them, i scraped a screw driver over them they do work.
so i might put a different neck on it, and see about lowering the bridge.
as there is some room to do that still.
we'll see how it turns out.
i'll keep you posted.

I would paint it white. That's what I plan on doing with my rob(og) custom.

yeah.. i remember reading it years ago.. before i signed up.
however. i had also not had my correct quantity of caffeine and nicotine..
but i'm getting to that point.
:p
so anyways, since i converted my telecaster to a shortscale (conversion neck ftw?)
and i love a maple neck...
i sat and looked at this for a while
and then decided fuck it. lets do it.
