According to the fender website it was made in 1994-1995..

I bought it Brand New on Saturday... it looks like it has never been played...

I just checked the Fender website for serial numbers of Japanese crafted instruments and it has a T ****** number right.

can anyone confirm this or is the fender website full of shit?Could it have been sitting around for 15 years??

the fender website is complete shit. everyone knows that. thats why we are here to help explain things.

JV+ 5 digits 1982-1984
SQ + 5 digits 1983-1984
E + 6 digits 1984-1987
A + 6 digits 1985-1986
B + 6 digits 1985-1986
C + 6 digits 1985-1986
F + 6 digits 1986-1987
G + 6 digits 1987-1988
H + 6 digits 1988-1989
I + 6 digits 1989-1990
J + 6 digits 1989-1990
K + 6 digits 1990-1991
L + 6 digits 1991-1992
M + 6 digits 1992-1993
N + 6 digits 1993-1994
O + 6 digits 1993-1994
P + 6 digits 1993-1994
Q + 6 digits 1993-1994
S + 6 digits 1994-1995
T + 6 digits 1994-1995
U + 6 digits 1995-1996
N + 5 digits 1995-1996
V + 6 digits 1996-1997
Crafted in Japan A + 6 digits 1997-1998
Crafted in Japan O + 5 digits 1997-2000
Crafted in Japan P + 5 digits 1999-2002
Crafted in Japan Q + 5 digits 2002-2004
Crafted in Japan R + 5 digits 2004-2005

Made in Japan Fenders ended *around* 97-98 when the Crafted in japan decal started being used (there is some overlap found among models as with any fender of any period)

anyways the dumbasses at fender.com haven't updated thier fucking cereal number chart in 4 fucking years. yes folks they are that fucking lazy. if you notice all japan #'s end at 2005, like there was some sort of great Mass Extinction Event and all the factory over there exploded or some shit. when in reality they just kept putting out guitars and fender.com forgot about them because they suck.

if you continue the list it would read

Crafted in JapanS + 5 digits 2005-2006
Crafted in JapanT + 5 digits 2006-2007
Crafted in JapanU + 5 digits 2007-2008
Crafted in JapanV + 5 digits 2008-2009

what you have is a crafted in japan guitar made in 2006-2007

The newer Japanese Fenders have started using "Made In Japan" again.

The Mustang RI bass that I bought new just before Christmas has "Made In Japan" above the serial number, which also starts with a "T". I don't know if all the Japanese models say this, but I know for sure my Mustang bass does.

Haha @ Rob's usage of "cereal number".
