What do you use? Regular strat case, or the OHSC (if you're lucky enough)....

Generic ones just seem to slide around too much.

Generic tweed offset guitar case from GC. I sort of have to have my duo at an angle, but it holds her tight.

I just use a Strat case for my Mustang... There is a bit of space, but it's not too bad. It was really cheap off Thomann (when they were cheap  ) and it does the trick.

I use this Fender case for my Jaguar. By use I mean it lives in a cupboard cos I normally just use a gigbag.

For my mustang I use a first act gig bag that fits perfectly. It also serves as a deterrent and safe guard, cause who wants to steal a first act guitar?

I'm using one of the cheap tweed musicians friend cases for my Jag, I modded the case a bit (cut the foam under the plush) and it holds very well.

These are every case I encountered where somebody claimed it fit a Jaguar. I DO NOT GUARANTEE THESE CLAIMS ARE CORRECT.

The old Fender cases from the 60s made by Victoria Luggage are going for close to $400.

Fender’s current case maker is G&G. There are a few variants being sold; all have the same shape but different colors and some different materials. Cheapest to most expensive:

- “Standard Black tolex exterior w/ vinyl ends, black acrylic interior, plate saying “Fender under the handle (about $130 )
- “Deluxe Black tolex exterior , red- orange interior , Fender amp logo on the side(about $140)
- “Deluxe Light Brown exterior w/ leather ends, with Orange-Gold interior, Fender amp logo on the side (about $140). (the one pictured at Thomann looks orange-brown, not sure if it’s just the same)
- Cases for Custom shop models have a pale yellow tolex exterior w/ leather ends, red-orange lining. I haven’t seen stores selling these cases separately; however factory seconds come up on ebay for about $170.

- Another Fender option, maybe: someone recently was selling a used molded case for a Fender Starcaster (the original 80s guitar, not the new one) on ebay, and claimed that this case fit a Jaguar. However, when I asked what was the basis for this claim he didn't respond.

There are a number of less-costly alternatives around, and here’s what I encountered. People who have tried some of these said, basically, you get what you pay for.

Cases for Other Company’s Guitar(s):

-Dean DHS-HTV, Deluxe Hardshell Case for Hardtail/ vendetta/ AV

-Reverend LCase http://www.reverendguitars.com/reverend ... _case.html
(looks just ike the Access case linked below, but with a Reverend logo)

Aftermarket cases:
-Rockcase Standard Case RC 10601B €53.97,. (Maybe Deluxe Case RC 10701 also)
(USA source?)

-Rondo Music, $55 http://www.rondomusic.com/product1353.html
- Access , about $70 http://www.accessbagsandcases.com/ac1eg1.htm
(not sure if it’s the standard version of this that fits the Jaguar or a special-ordered variant)
-Guardian CG-020-E , $70 http://www.guardiancases.com/Hardshell.634.0.html
- Hiscox STD-EJAG, £62.00 http://www.hiscoxcases.com/guitar_hiscox.htm
(direct US source?)
- Don’t know who made this one:

- Gothard Flightcases Jaguar and Jazzmaster Hardcase £79.00

Other: I’ve read posts where people said a “Universal Case would fit, or a “coffin case. But it wasn’t clear to me which particular one. If you’ve got one of these that works, maybe post a specific link, or specific maker/ model #, to this thread.

I use a strat shaped interior, vintage styled case for my mustang, it doesn't fit perfectly into the slot for the neck. But it fits nicely. Or sometimes I've used an acoustic guitar hard shelled case with the mustang in a gig bag with something to stuff in there to make it snug. (stated before)

I'm using a Hiscox Liteflite STD-EF ABS case for my Mustang. It's a pretty good fit, although the neck relief isn't correct. For this reason, I've stuck in a couple of pads to raise the body slightly. A folded-up T-shirt is an equally good solution.

Even though the STD-EF is a Strat or Tele case, other Strat or Tele cases will not necessarily fit a Mustang. For example, the rather cheap moulded ABS case that Fender ship their American Standard guitars in will definitely not fit a Mustang.

I just checked ebay regularly until I found someone in Canada selling a proper Fender Mustang case. It took a long time, but I eventually got one. Before that I used a gig bag.
