i have honestly never played thru one, but i have seen them here and there.
i have seen a couple online.
i was wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of playing thru one, or at least knows the main models and specs.

I'm sure you've heard me blabbing about my little '66 Kalamazoo Model One before. Inscho also had one. Kalamazoo was Gibson's budget line in the 60s. Allegedly, it is very close to the Fender Champ circuit. http://www.netads.com/~meo/Guitar/Amps/Kalamazoo/

I'd really like a 2x10 Bass 30

I've played through this Explorer amp. It's great for low wattage blues/rock action.

I think it's about 20w or so.

They're similar to Fender amps in a lot of cases. The Vox tonestack was copied from Gibson.

Very nice amps and still a great deal - just make sure you can find replacement tubes easily, as some of the types they used are obsolete.

Some of the vinatge ones are basically the same as Fenders, but don't cost a gazillion dollars.

Ry Cooder famously uses the GA-40.

All in the video Mr. Jcyphe except for Ry Cooder playing them.
Its a shame though his demo was going so well until he plugged the boss metalzone. *arsecake*

I don't bother watching any video posted by a noob, or reading any link by a noob.

Sorry.

thats cool, like i said, i have seen them but never really... heard one.
and i have never heard anyone really go into detail about them, not like a bassman anyway.
the ones that i have seen on ebay are comparible, or less than a same year fender.
