I need some good flanger recommendations, i use it for cleans only, not distortion, so something that sounds warm and musical would be best.

Recommend away!

I like my dem, but I don't really use flanger enough to matter. Filter matrix owns though.

I heard the new stereo DEMs are good.

id like to hear a flanger that sounds warm and musical, im not sure ive ever.

usually i think of nasally thin sounds when i think of flanger/phaser sounds. a thick warm flanger would be really interesting.

I was thinking about maybe a electric mistress from EHX. has anyone ever played around with one at all?

I'm not a Flanger officionado but I would suggest the Ibanez FL6 Reissue, The BYOC Flanger if you like building, or the new Stereo Electric Mistress XO EHX pedal.

The "classics" are considered to be the ADA Flanger:

and the vintage EHX version etc. I'm sure others will chime in with recommendations.

i have one and i love it, you can get slow whooshing, chorusie sounds and i keep it all the time at a really fast warble oscillating setting, plus it has a filter matrix

i have a aria fl5 which sounded a bit ropey until i tweaked the trimpots a bit and made it a bit fuller sounding.

here it is before said tweeking.

but i think the electric mistress is probably the warmest sounding flange out there, but it is not an extreme flange.

the cure use the boss stuff and i really like their flanger sounds.

why deos shit git worse like 80 of the time?

si it for the cheepsa?

wow.

i think what i was trying to say is:

why is it that most of the time, a reissue sounds worse than the OG.

i know the reason though, because they sell plenty of them despite cheaping out on parts to make more profit. and it keeps the old ones high valued, which gives them an excuse to keep prices for new ones as high as possible.
