Anyone have any experience with Lace Sensor pickups? How they sound?

I need new pickups for my tele. Heard that Jonny Greenwood loves these.

ive been interested in the red humbucker for ages. i'd expect the cleans are a bit dire though.

considering splashing out on one for the jazzmaster since i really have no idea what to put in it.

have a B-S-R set in a strat
the red sucks for cleans but goes well w/ a good fuzz
blue is my fav out of the lot, silver sounds pretty good too
but red in the neck is fucking bliss, it just doesn't shine in bridge

I have a Telecaster that has the Lace Tele set with hot bridge; from what the Lace guy said, it's essentialy a Blue neck and a Red bridge.

It's a MIM Tele, and compared to the stock pickups they are much clearer sounding and almost dead silent when compared to the usual single-coil buzz-a-thon. They sound great clean or fuzzed to hell.

If you're looking for the Greenwoodz, I believe he uses a Red Dually in the bridge and Blue in the neck.

Yeah, I couldn't find a dealer anywhere that had the Lace Tele set, so I called Lace up and they said Amazon had some. I never thought to look there.

If you want to buy it back it's cool with me, i'm selling the guitar it's in anyway and it might as well go to a good home.

I thought Amazon was just a portal for MF...

They are a portal for a lot of different stores, but they stock a lot of weird things too.

You can always tell whether or not it's coming direct from them by looking for the area that says "Ships from and sold by XXXX". The pickups I linked are sold direct from Amazon, and that's how I acquired them.

really?

i've been cursing myself for selling it since i did... i realised about 2 days after posting it to you that i actually did need it for something, and gave myself a mental slap for being such a forgetful berk!

will that not screw up your sale if you have to bugger about replacing a pickup?

Amazon has possibly one of the worst interfaces for shopping of any online retailer I've ever seen. Holy fuck I cannot figure out how to browse the "guitar parts" category.

Yeah, it's fuckin' terrible. I guess you can't expect terrific categorization of music gear from a company that sells both Segways and adult diapers.

I couldn't even find the pickups while on the phone with the Lace guy, and he said, "I see them here -- just search for 'lace tele'." I couldn't find them because I was searching for 'lace telecaster', and it was a no-go.

I'm just looking to see the necks they have....best I can shop for them is to look at their "bestsellers". This shit is retarded.
