Anyone have any experience with the duncan SLD-1 I have a 2007 dano and i think i am going to replace the neck pickup on it with one of these. If anyone has one in their guitar or has played with one please tell me what you think. Do you think it has enough out put to keep up with my gibson p90 in the bridge, the one i have now makes a giant volume drop and its very annoying, I want that great lipstick or single coil sound in the neck, but I dont want the giant volume difference when compared to the p90.
help a brotha out shortscale.

Hmmmm.... The Duncan lipstick isn't going to be higher output then the 2007 stock. Maybe a touch if he treats the magnet differently, but it's not wound any hotter.
You can get hotter lipsticks through GFS:
http://store.guitarfetish.com/prlipi.html The sound is going to be different because of the magnet (and getting wound hotter, of course), but at least it could compete in output.
I'm at a loss for a higher-output lipstick that keeps the same sound. You could always just use a clean booster.

I had Duncan Lipsticks in my Jackson Surfcaster, cannot confirm they were the same models but i would presume so as Duncan dont make many Lipsticks. But i can confirm they did sound wonderful.
