Hi, I just ordered a BYOC OD2 but am getting it built for me because I have zero experience and do not want to mess it up (maybe someday I will try something very basic and see how it goes because I would love to build my own pedals like so many people here). My question is....they have a MOSFET upgrade kit you can purchase for about $10 more and I am trying to decide if I should go for it or not (or possibly install only some parts of it)..I have no idea because I do not understand what differences these changes will make to the sound of the pedal. Here are the details...can any of you builders help me understand the differences so I can decide which way to go before I get it assembled? Your help is appreciated!

MOSFET Conversion Kit
* MOSFET op amp - Adds a more tubelike feel to the compression and distortion.
* MOSFET input and output buffers - increased input impedence for a more glassy
tone.
* MOSFET clipping - More tubelike distortion.
* MOSFET boost - A cleaner boost with a touch of sparkle.
* 10k tone pot - Makes the EQ more natural and transparent , reduces harsh highs
and noise, and increases the range of the "louder" modification.

To be honest I think it's all outlined there for you in the specification there, so if you want those things - go for it.

Thanks Mike...so what are people's feeling who have played both about MOSFET v.s. vintage TS style OD? What about for the clean boost?
