Here are some pics of my new SX strat (SX SST57 short scale). I got it about 1 week ago. Trying to figure out what pickups I want to put into it. Thinking of lil killer's from GFS. I want this to be a noise making machine.
Compared to other guitars. A little smaller body than a regular strat, but not out of proportion.
neck and fret ends
The color of butter.

That neck looks nice, a little too orange for my tastes but the finish looks very good.

Apparently the neck and the finish is really the best parts of their guitars. As expected electronics and tuners are crap. But their prices? great deal regardless.

That's the plan. Looking at GFS for new tuners, pups and probably pots. May go with one of their drop in tremolo replacements with the big block. Still it is looking at around $120 to gut and replace those parts. Trying to keep around $200 for total project. Will have to get the nut cut to proper height or replaced as well.
