did this today at robert(original)'s house. the pickguard covers all the routing. i still need to drill the holes for screws, pots, and output.

its neck pickup only, and i plan on having a kill switch, volume and tone. cool, innit?

I think it would look well with a big chrome control plate on it, like whatever is on those old Hagtsroms or whatever they are.

i wish i could get a bridge cover for it, but its not one of the vintage style bridges.

i wish i could get some more chrome on it, but i dont want to drill any holes in the body.

that neck pickup sure will be lonely all the way up in that sea of pearloid.

Wow! Great minds think alike! I love the red/pearl combination on that guitar!

This guitar features the first neck that I built completely from scratch and boasts a longish 25 3/4" scale length! I built it in 1982.

The pickup is of the Kinman vairety and I got a little tricky with the tone control for this project. I wanted it to look very clean and simple so, I sawed the shaft off the tone pot, cut a little slot in it, and soldered it to the bottom of the volume pot. I don't often use the tone controls on my guitars but wanted to have the option of pre-setting it in case the guitar was too bright sounding. Anyway, there it is. The Monocaster!

pickup from the mysterious TRIBI

2 pots, theyre supposed to be vol-ton, but they dont work like that. its more like TON-nothing.

i also bought a killswitch, but havent installed it yet.

One of your pots aren’t grounded, On my tele project I did the same thing and when I fixed it I missed it so much that I put a mini toggle so that I could go between the strange tone tone circuit, which uses more of the amp's characteristics, and the volume tone.
