well, I just read a little bit about it on the tokai forum and it seems samick's are pretty all over the place in quality. A lot of them were made in korea and the new ones are made in the cort factory in indonesia. They've made some good guitars and some not so good. it depends on what they were contracted to do. they made the epiphones from the late 80s and early 90s.

also, looking at more about it on that site you linked, they say it's very similar to the epiphone (it has the thinner style headstock and the 3 screw trussrod cover). it was probably made in the same factory as the epiphone. seems like it's probably a pretty decent guitar but it's missing a lot of the fine details that bring it up to the level of the nicer tokais and other lawsuits.

so yea, it's probably pretty good. I mean, I like epiphones. you should play it though. guitars in this range can be hit or miss sometimes.

I've had a few Samicks, quality varies as said. The 335 i had back in my JAMC period was excellent...

lol, yeah, it got beyond a joke Dange's bass would creep two inches higher every year. Miss that guy though, not seen him for over 10 years. More Spaceman 3 legacy Tim, i bumped into him in a pub and got talking about 'Revolution' by S3 and we formed a band. Happy days. :D
