I wouldn't be surprised if Fender didn't take the decal off the paper and just sellotaped it on, fucking CBS Franken-model.

Really the whole of the headstock looks like an after-thought.

The same guitar when in the collection of Cheap Trickster Rick Nielsen plus headstock detail plus two other swingers with "sellotape" logo :D

His guitar collection was groovy.

http://www.sothebys.com/app/live/lot/Lo ... lot_name=Y

There are loads of examples of the classic vinatage Fenders, Gibsons, Rickenbackers.

Pluse he collected a lot blues instruments that I really like. There are loads of Nationals, Supros, and Teiscos.

Not to mention all his custom Alembic basses and vintage bass collection.

And many of them are in this book as well as the objects that served as a background for the photos.

Sure it wasn't a Shergold?

A friend of mine's got one - they are odd guitars. Do a Bass VI-ey thing that Peter Hook played, too.

yeah you're prolly right, for some reason the name hayman makes me think of bernard sumner, this one black guitar he had with a maple neck and i think a slideable pickup... guess i'm wrong

kinda like this i think

but in this vid it's defo a shergold

it was a shergold masquerader that bernard sumner had.

and yep, peter hook had one of the six string basses, of which only about 100 were made. the modulator one that tim posted has onboard effects, and apparently mr shergold thought it was one of his better designs. so there you go.
