Possibly. I'll certainly be bringing a bottle or two of something. One will be rum, the other is likely to be whisky or Pimm's.

Has anybody played a mini-humbucker much?

I love the one in my archtop, but I was really disappointed in the one in the Squier Tele SSH (or whatever it was).

I'd love to hear more.

Aye. I had a Hofner lp dc thing with mini humbuckers. They are okay, less balls than a P90 but more powerfull than single coils. They sparkle on overdrive settings, they inspire that early Stone Roses sound.

I like the fact that archtop has the darknes of a humbucker and the dynamic and snap of a single coil, although that darkness might be because of the guitar, rather than the pickup.

I have one in neck position on my Nighthawk and it gives an incredible clean tone. Works very well in the studio.
