yeah the jag bass is a thing of beauty
i'm about "this close" to picking one up in car red.
only problem is.. i'm not a bass player.. and don't need it
i just wants.. so sexy.

I'm with you there, I think Jag basses are beautiful, but hell I don't need a bass. Let alone another guitar right now.

The jag basses do look awesome, but honestly as a bass player they're not that great of basses. I'm not a fan of active pre-amps anymore but the one in there is not very good even if I were to play an active bass anymore. And the passive mode really isn't anything to be thrilled about either. For the same amount of money you could get a regular jazz bass or p-bass that would sound way better!

It was about 3 years ago, and I think that it was about the same price, maybe $100 less, but it was when the pound was much stronger against the dollar...about $2=£1.

Well I think it's a fair price for a new one - not an amazing cheap deal, but what it costs to get a lefty Jag from Japan.
