haha damn... is it one of the tele deluxes? One of the raleigh local guitar shops had a '73 tele deluxe in pretty good condition about a year ago that they were only selling for $2200. Not a bad deal.

It's still a lot for a Fender from the worst era of QC.
But I guess it does have the CUNT-LIFE.

haha yea, but considering what they go for $2200 isn't that bad, and seventies fenders really aren't all that bad. Most of the ones I've played have been really nice. My musicmaster bass is awesome! That tele deluxe played and sounded amazing! I played a couple strats and they were really nice. Actually the only one that I haven't liked that I've played was the '75 p bass that I played at sam ash once. It just sounded like ass, and it just didn't feel good, I can't really explain why it didn't feel good... it was just like that bass had no soul.

For sure there are good examples out there, you just have to check them over carefully.

The cheaper guitars I've played like the 70s Musicmasters etc have all been pretty great. Most Strats etc have been a totally different story. Guitar Guitar have had a few in that started in the high £3000s now they range from £800. Aparently they get tried out quite often but they never sell. I have tried one of them out myself and it felt like a crap copy. They also weigh about the same as a small planet. CC Music had one of those 70s maple Mustangs in a few months ago. It was the same deal, tho it was very cheap compared to the Strats/Teles.
I guess most people who have good ones tend to keep a hold of them. Especially with the way prices keep rising.
