Just picked up a new acoustic to beat around on...

Talk about all other types of guitars. Jazzmasters and basses go here!

Just picked up a new acoustic to beat around on...

Post by mickie08 »

I picked this up out of craigslist for 3 reasons...

A- it was cheap as shit and a pretty nice guitar....

b- with me driving an hour each way every day and car temps being bad here in the summer, I didn't want to be hauling around my nicer breedlove and having it get all fucked up just for open mics/jamming/etc.

c- It has a built in tuner which is great for alt tunings...

Maybe a little flashier than I prefer, but fuckkkk Solid top, fishman electronics, gig bag, strap, unopened set of strings, still had the plastic on the guard...

$140.00 USD... They were arounf 450-500 new I believe.. Apparently it was an xmas gift and the guy needs money... I swear it has not been played...

neat find!

not too sure about the color but i'm sure it fits the purpose well. I played an ibanez similar to that one and it sounded great.

I am not sold on the color either, but for that price it was great. I just always worry out here in the 100 degree weather and going from inland to by the beach about taking my nicer acoustic (about 1K) in the car for the whole day if I want to meet up after work (which is common...) Overall, not big on the finish but it seems to be a good deal.

I work about 50 miles from where I live so I basicly live in desert conditions and then work right by the beach with al the cooler air and salt. Not a good situation to put a nice acoustic through a few days per week sitting in the car all day...

Yea whenever I take my taylor with me I take it in any building I have to go into so it's not sitting in the car getting fucked by the weather. But it's fine when the car's running and the AC is going.
