I bit, and nabbed 2 sets of these, for $40ish shipped. SOmehtimes they have diddly squat in the clearance section, but if you need some strat pups or, erm, cream telecaster pickguard, DO IT NOW.
that clearance section has been stagnant for several months now. every month or so I'll take a look at it and try to add that black strat guard to my cart, at which point I get message saying it's sold out.
they're ceramic, which has its own sort of sound compared to an AlNiCo pickup. Some find them to have a more "bell" like tone that you get from lipstick pickups, they're neat but don't have a whole lot of life in them, things tend to sound dull to my ears.
