Can I mount Jag pickups to the guard using robroes without any issues? I believe Jag pups mount to the body just like a Jazzy with the pads underneath. Thanks.

Jag pickups are longer than mustang pickups (and a bit wider too with the claw on I think), you may have to do a bit of routing, you will for sure have to mod the pickguard, take a look at the cyclone II

I've got an jag pickup mounted onto the guard on my duo-sonic with no problems. It's a 1/4 pounder and I can't put a robroe over it, too wide. It otherwise would have fit though. I'm not sure but I think the non 1/4 pounders are thinner and will fit under a robroe cover.

So yeah, I think that'll work fine, probably without any extra work.

Yes you can. I have a SJag-1 in the Wesley with a 'Stang pup cover.

wrong.

my compstang currently has SJAG-3's covered right now. The duo had the same exact pickups with the stock compstang black covers in it years ago. they all fit fine.

what you were saying about SJAG-1's was correct though. they fit fine too.

You need to carefully heat up the cover and squeeze it on, don't you?

no, you just jam that shit on there. ive been doing it for years. it bows out a little, you put it in from up underneath and the bowing out holds the cover and pickup tight.
then you dick around with screws and bushings/springs

Thanks for the clarity guys. I just wasn't really sure if the jag pup screws threaded into the pup base or passed through them to screw into the body. Also, thanks for the info on the QP'S.

yeah i usually end up drilling out the cover screw hols a little bit, and find that works perfectly.
