I'm thinking about building a pedal...

And i was wondering if this seemed like a good idea.
I have always liked the sound of fuzzes, and i found a nice op amp based one that only uses 1/4 of a lm324
So i was thinking about building 2 of them to use 1/2 of the lm324 and be able to cascade them to get some serious fuzziness.
Does anyone see a problem with this? i havent heard many op amp bases fuzzes (i think) and im not sure if they would play nice.
Money shouldnt be a problem, i should have 250$ or so after i sell my 360 and im cool with spending more to make it than to buy it.

oops i almost forgot the schematic lol.

Nothing wrong with cascading fuzzes at all. Maybe make the second stage switchable with a toggle?

Looks nice simple fuzz circuit. You know which pins of the LM324 get used for this?

Datasheet, Tim?

http://www.national.com/images/pf/LM324/00929901.pdf

Power is 4, GND is 11.

A typical op-amp triad is inputs pin2 (-), pin3 (+) and output pin1.

God knows how you've got this far, you lazy git.

Gawd if I was building it myself I'd check the bloody datasheet. This seemed the only tricky element in this chap's first-time build.

I think he knows what he's doing.

Thanks guys, i was planning to use a toggle.
I'll probably also add a tone control somewhere along the way, and i will post pictures of the build, maybe a demo.

Or teh Stomp. I prefer stomps. Stomps all over. KICK ON THE GAIN.

Share lanks. I've never ode much tone controlling, I'd liek to try some out.

I don't know much about tone controls either but i thought one would help

Here is the schematic im looking at for one, it looks like i could use the other 2/4 of the lm324 for the op amps
Tone control/EQ

Personally i like 3 band eq's more, but having 7 knobs on an effect might get unruly. If i could figure out how to do it i would like to try
a boss style tone control with a mids control.
