And now I've traded that Highway One Stratocaster...

The original shortscale guitars; Mustangs, Duo-Sonics, Musicmasters, Jaguars, Broncos, Jag-stang, Jagmaster, Super-Sonic, Cyclone, and Toronados.

for a Dakota Red 65 Reissue Mustang. Holy shit. It's in near perfect condidion and I got one of the actual Fender brand reissue cases with it. This is the first time I've really played the 65 reissue and I must say they really are far better sounding than the 69 reissues. I like it, but I'm probably going to sell it to get a Martin.

Nothing too special, just one of the lower end ones in the $500-600 range. I'm not 100% sure about it though. I want an acoustic, I want a Tiny Terror, and I've been longing to start a project for ages. Plus I really like this Mustang, so I have no idea what to do with it yet.

Nice trade, you got one of the better looking 'Stangs. I still think the Highway One is a way better guitar though, based on my own experiences.

I wouldn't bother with a low-end Martin. Really - you can get something much better for less if you step outside the name.

That mustang is tits on a ritz.

Really? I played (or should better say attempted to) a lower end six string and 12 string, and was quite impressed, especially compared to the Gibson Southern Jumbo (which is one of my favorites). But I guess it's a matter of opinion.

That is a pretty fair trade, $$ wise. I love Strats and Mustangs both. Yours looks great!
