Yes Virginia,Fender Did make a Coral Pink Stratocaster!
In the latest issue of Premier Guitar Magazine is an article about a 1961 Fender Stratocaster in Tahitian Coral Wow,this is a big deal. For years experts have said that this color did not exist.According to Vintage Guitar Info Guy "Fender never had a color in its pallet called Coral Pink or Salmon Pink. This color is mostly likely Fiesta Red, which has a very pink hue." Wrong! This is like finding the Holy Grail of Fender Telecasters.

i always knew there was one because i had a pink squier strat that i put mint shits on, and i just knew that fender wasn't that stupid in the 60's to not see how this color could be.

For real. It's possible Fender did this in their factory, but I think it's much more likely someone did it as a refin on what left the factory as a desert sand model, especially as some of the paint has come off the neck pocket and onto the neck itself.robroe wrote:An undercoat of Desert Sand can be seen where the top color has worn off. Proof that this color is factory original can be seen after unscrewing the neck.
hahah no, it just proves that a brown guitar was painted over fiesta red.
Shabba.
That doesn't even look like what people call Coral Pink.
This is a FAIL on every level. Coral pink is Fiesta it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out. I've seen it with my own eyes.
Fender did some rarer finishes in auto shops and stuff throughout the years, this doesn't really account for the large widespread guitars labeled Coral Pink that were indeed just Fiesta Red. If it is original this is just some random pink guitar Fender did, seriously.
