it does seem too good to be true, so hopefully you've got some friends who live in the area to make trip even more worth your while. . . good luck!plesiosaurus wrote:Yeah. The guy seems kind of oblivious about guitars but also said that he's seen them sell for like 1000 and he's just trying to get rid of it. He got it from the original owner who had it since high school. I hope it's not totally fucked somehow; this seems a little too good to be true.

Yeah but paying someone you don't know and who lives hours away from you without some previous experience/realtionship is risky. At least on ebay/paypal there are options if you get screwed. If you just send someone $ fora craigslsit add you are a lot more likely to end up screwed. PLus what if the neck is all fucked up and/or it is not really vintage/legitimate?aftermecomestheflood wrote:probley be cheaper to post it than drive.Noirie. wrote:A 10 hour drive is worth a cheapie '65 stang.aftermecomestheflood wrote: just have them post it mate.

I'd love to go on a road trip just to buy something. Besides Canadian methotrexate.

My Toronado was The Journey of Death. The weather turned into a rainstorm and the heaters broke in the car, so the windows were constantly misted up, i could'nt see a thing except for the huge Lorries. But i carried on lol, the journey back was way better.
The Burny Les Paul trip ended up a day out with teh missus.
