Looks like a "fat strat" from a few years back. They had the walnut stain on the tele for a while, I'm just guessing this is from the same era.

yea, that walnut stain is ace lookin. Very 70s. so I guess this is one of the "Deluxe" models? it has most of the features of the current ones. those pickups (staggered poles?) are intriguing.....

looks like the early 2k's affinity deluxe. i had one with a mint guard and mexi pups, but it was chinese! i loved it, but the neck was too 50's for me. great guitar.

EDIT: checked out pics. clearly an indonesian standard. odd one too, check out how the fretboard extends over the pg. i bet it plays real nice. neck looks mexican almost.

A lot of 22 fret Squier standards have a fretboard that extends over the pickguard. I had a Squier Standard Tele awhile back to muck around on, and when I bought it I also bought a Fender pickguard and the guy said "oh, that won't work... see how the gap between the neck pickup and pocket is different? This pickguard is for a 21 fret neck."
Looking at it carefully (didn't wanna be a smartass cuz he's a nice dude, generally knows his Fenders and doesn't spout bullshit to make a sale ever... note he was actually talking himself out of a pickguard sale) I said, "isn't the end of the fingerboard an extension?" and he went "naw", I bought it anyway and I was right.
They do a good job with the fit, there was no gap and I don't blame dude for not noticing.

I think most 22 fret necks are like that. I'm pretty sure that's how the american standards are.
