I have been looking for another guitar (don't ask me why, my wife always askes). Been looking at LPs & ES-335's in various brands. But low and behold I found a 2003 Michael Kelly Patriot Q at a very reasonable price. I went to see it, played it and was floored.

My initial impressions: solid build, excellent fit & finish, well balanced but heavy. Sound wise I only played it briefly, it sounded good through his rig. I'll know more once I get it home. The body is clean... no dings, dents or scratches. Push/Pull knobs are loose, but that can be addressed. The gold parts have some tarnish and wear but thats to be expected. Its heavier than my Bradley (7.5 lbs), and feels so much better.

I had a Michael Kelly T and it was a nice guitar. It was kind of a prs type copy with coil taps. It played really well even before being set up.

Let's have none of this 'NGD' shit.

Nice guitar though. If you like that kind of thing :P

I'm not a fan of quilted tops, but I like the colour.
Am sure it sounds quite beefy.
