I'd consult with a prof. luthier before this. He could help you get an idea of how much space you would need, if there is indeed enough space at all. Personally I would hesitate to do such a drastic mod to a vintage guitar but its yours so have at it.aftermecomestheflood wrote:not curently but im like might be hard to fit 3 in there once im thinkin about it.BacchusPaul wrote:Sounds cool. doood!!! I WOULD not do it...
you'd take out too much wood and it would sound like shit. broncos are not even string-thru. it would have no resonance. and with the string tension, who knows it could just SNAP together!
sure would look killer but... God didn't make broncos for 3 full-size-humbs. and it was good.
btw, i DO have a '73 SG Custom with 3 humbuckers and...well, i never use 'em (it). the middle one gets in the way.
good luck!
Pat.

wasn't really the routing part, just the, "eh fuck it, it'll be covered by a pickguard." every squier i've had, the guards have been off a little one one or more holes, and it's cracked into the route. not poor, just too large.Mike wrote:Ignorance. Squier do not do poor routing jobs.
