i want 3 humbuckers in it. ill probley do a shitty routing job but i dont care itll be covered buy a guard.
im inspired by the sg hendrix played on the cavett show.

I'd consult with a prof. luthier before this. He could help you get an idea of how much space you would need, if there is indeed enough space at all. Personally I would hesitate to do such a drastic mod to a vintage guitar but its yours so have at it.

doood!!! I WOULD not do it... :(
you'd take out too much wood and it would sound like shit. broncos are not even string-thru. it would have no resonance. and with the string tension, who knows it could just SNAP together! :shock:

sure would look killer but... God didn't make broncos for 3 full-size-humbs. and it was good.

btw, i DO have a '73 SG Custom with 3 humbuckers and...well, i never use 'em (it). the middle one gets in the way.

wasn't really the routing part, just the, "eh fuck it, it'll be covered by a pickguard." every squier i've had, the guards have been off a little one one or more holes, and it's cracked into the route. not poor, just too large.
