I recently got my new camera and am finally getting to grips with all the different modes and when to use each one to get the best photos. I learned with my old camera that being in a certain mode or choosing specific settings can create much better results than just leaving it in auto mode. Also, getting a car recently means I can finally get out of town and go to some amazing locations to take snaps! Yay!
I wanted to show off a few I took recently I'm pretty proud of. They were taken from Werneth Low, a hillside on the edge of Greater Manchester. Anyone from Manchester should try and get up there sometime! The wide daytime panorama was taken a few days ago, the night time photos were taken tonight. I went up with a couple of mates, it was dead quiet. Only a few dog walkers (and doggers! apparently there is an area down the road which is a known spot for doggers! :S ). We wanted to stay till it got pitch black, and hopefully take some photos with stars in the sky. But we were there till 23:00 and it still wasn't dark enough, the camera wasnt picking any stars up. Anywhere, here are the results:
