I know, and GFS won't ship em cheapo USPS neck-off either. With tax and parcelforce cuntery fee you can add £100 to the initial price.

Fella at GFS (Jay?) has always been very amenable when I've contacted him before, will he really not dismantle the guitars? Got pickups and stuff from him with no grief many times in the past.

I'm thinking it's definitely not cost effective to have it shipped to a us shortscaler then dismantled and re-shipped. probably more than the original cost.
Benecol's right though, he'll usually go out of his way for the sale he's really into his customer support image. You should email him a link to this thread, he'll probably bend on the dismantling and give shortscalers a 10% discount.

are the bodies fender shape or slightly off?
Looks cool though, i think i might of found my telecaster solution...
