The key difference between things like the Octave Multiplexer, Boss PS-5 and OC-3 (sort of has a poly mode, but it sucks), and DigiTech Whammy is that the HOG and POG are
polyphonic; they tracks full chords damn near perfectly. Sell your balls -- it's worth it.
I loved using the Whammy in the past, but I had always wished it was polyphonic. After spending a few weeks with the Micro POG (which I bought on a whim) it had become my most-used pedal. The only downside was having to reach down and twist knobs to change settings between songs, which the POG2 will solve with presets. The attack delay idea is frickin' genius too, something possibly cribbed from the Micro Synth. The two octave down shift is also new; the POG doesn't have that.
