There's a red w/tort Vista Jagmaster at a local shop back home for $395 w/gigbag. How imperative is it that I snatch this up?

Seems to be less than the usual price, I'd say it's a good buy but these things have been popping up left and right lately. Imperative is probably low, but if you've been looking for one I'd grab it at that price.

Considering the existence of this trhread, I say grab.
Play and if you don't like, flip for 500$

I couldn't really crank it at the shop, and I won't be back at my place until tuesday, but I'm really excited to crank up the volume on this thing.

speaking of jagmasters, i just picked this one up for $200 via craigslist.

The Vistas really are so much better than the MIC versions... the neck feels just like the old CIJ guitars I used to have and I think the body is full thickness (have to verify when I get to the 'rents house and compare to the other bodies). Really like it..

Needs to be setup and restrung tho (seriously wtf are you thinking with 9s), but I'm happy that I found a beater guitar I can take to gigs without (as much) worry.

A. Amazing deal.
B. That's not beater man, workhorse maybe... but not a beater. Those guitars are high quality and quite nice to look at. ;)

Their necks are indeed brilliant.

Well beater in the sense that it's:

-functional
-rugged
-has no sentimental value
-has relatively low monetary value (vs. my other guitars)

Guess I'll keep this one in sunburst, but would consider having it refinished in some sort of fun surf color. Any suggestions?

They got one for sale on my local craigslist. I kinda want it, but I can't justify having another jaguar style guitar atm.

If it's at a bargain price, buy it and flip it.

I should, but knowing me I'd buy it and would like it so much I wouldn' want to sell it. It's 200 dollars which (I think) is good for a vista.
Plus I need to buy a bass, and need no more guitars.

$200 is about 50% what they usually go for on the bay.
