A DGNR8 Father's Day

Today I am re-wiring Mandocaster 1 (replacing Aug's MIJ mini-pots to see if that helps the feedback problem); hiding ground wire on Mosrite and Jazzmaster Strat (and trying to sort that grounding problem as well). I am having an epic day even though I may have touched the nitro finish of the Mosrite with a HOT LAMP. It bubbled and smoked immediately, leaving a nasty scar. I was gutted about it, but I was able to make it blend into the decals and junk already on it. I need moar Fender neck screws, some Acetone, and a better screw in the Mosrite whammy setup. Fucking Ay.

I am having a lovely day in spite of high humidity and somewhat high winds--not the fart kind. I got new filters for my respirator (third set) which was a great idea. I tried a new kind of nitro which is used for furniture (bright red) and it bubbled like a heart attack. Also used BIN primer and it drips. Cheaping out on Reranch FTL. Clears are clears though. No problems there. I will try to post some long overdue photos.

Painting:
Mandocaster 2 (primer only)
Kustom K200 Ocean Turquoise--no primer
Gibson 125TC clears
Gretsch Corvette Bright red--no primer

Possibly getting started on Gretsch binding replacement.

i've been using BIN primer on a few things and it's messy as fuck. took me a couple of attempts to get to grips with it.
