My bandmate has one of these. It plays atrociously but the little built-in amp sounds cool
I recently went on a pilgrimage to my hometown music shop where for years, they had a Quest with a body in the shape of a shark.
It too had a little built-in amplifier. I fully intended to offer the shop owner 25 bucks for it but sadly, it wasn't there anymore.

I word of warning though... I spent some time in Russia and tried out some Soviet music equipment... I think it is a fair assumption that neither the designers, nor the luthiers gave a flying f-k about making decent instruments... I think they are deeply instilled with soviet apathy and beyond help...

yea, that's I've read. they're supposed to sound horrible and play even worse. and I think from a design standpoint they're atrocious. they don't have any of the quirky-cool factor of the 60s japanese guitars, they're just all around badly designed, like the appearance was just a complete afterthought.

some of the effects however look incredibly awesome and I'd really like to try them out.

EDIT: whoa, the russian LEL brand still exists and still make the pedals they made in the 80s. http://www.lell.ru/pedali.htm

My Mig 60 is stunning accomplishment of engineering. How they wired satan into a head case, I'll never understand.

If I could get a "Moscow Soviet Army experimental accordion factory" neckplate my life and my hypothetical custom-build would be complete. Kitsch? Gauche? Beautiful. Just beautiful.

Short scale, so it'd be limited to smashing the petite bourgeoisie.
