Jam some tooth picks in there and re thread it.

do the old haze trick...
drill it out a bit, fill with wood glue, cram a golf tee in there, and cut it off. let it dry, screw away...

or matchsticks and pva !!
pick guard screws thread all the time on the jap fenders... I wouldn't worry too much.
I would say the golf T method is a bit drastic for this....

So you just put glue down the screw hole and then shove a matchstick/toothpick/whatever...
And then re-drill the hole??? WTF I'm confuzzled as fuck.

I would to the toothpick and glue thing, but do not drill for a small pick guard screw. Just screw it right into the patched hole. Toothpicks are soft.

I use a little modelers hand drill, works great. Though you should be able to just screw it in, careful not to strip the screw though.

christ, i hardly meant drill... i guess hone would be a better word? something to make the hole big enough to put whatever in it that you're using to 'fill' it. wtf, sex is everywhere.

Squeeze the Pva into the hole.
Push a matchstick in.
Wipe excess glue away.
Space for another match stick ? ... then push another in.
wipe away excess glue again... (if needed)
Leave to dry.
Screw the the strap button straight in... no need for drilling !!

FUCK GLUE. Just get a toothpick and shove it in the hole, break it off clean at the surface and insert a screw. IT will work fine. Luthiers do it.

fuck all that glue shit. completely unnecessary. just put like a little sliver or two of wood in there (like pieces of tooth pick or chop stick or something) and just screw it in.
edit: ok, yea what cowbell said.
