btw, the cyclone is why i put it in this section, i'll discuss it later when i'm a little pissed off. the guy i had work on it has had it since 2008 and just got it back to me today with everything either done wrong or not done at all, i can't even look at the thing right now without getting pissed

it's MIM with a custom guard.

i dropped it off at my regular luthier so he could cut a custom guard from the noho/tribi mint green one that i bought. i went over it with him like 3 fucking times that i wanted both lace red sensors wired like a humbucker in the bridge position, slanted like mustang pickups, and a dimarzio rail in the neck position. i gave the dude a blank BWB sheet, the guard to trace, and exact instructions, and six months later i get back that heaping pile of shit. the trem tip is only half way on, the nut (which was a roller nut that took me forever to find) wasn't installed, the string tree is still loose thanks to a rounded off screw he didn't fix, the guard is 1 ply black, the lace sensors are in the neck and bridge position with the pickup that was supposed to be in the neck still in the "extra parts" pile, FFFFFUUUUU!!!

i'm sorting out the cost on monday, i'm hoping he comps most of it, if not i'll grab my other projects that are there and walk. at this point i'm considering ripping off the neck and throwing on a maple 25.5 b&b that i have, getting rid of the strat trem for a jm style, having the pickguard recut somewhere state side, and putting a sustainer in the neck position.

it was a huge disappointment to get that thing back at the end of the day, and to add insult to injury, my buddy's gretsch which was in for a cracked piece of wood around the input jack, and some strap locks came back with no strap locks and i can't even tell if the guy glued the wood or not, it's still not level. i've been inspired (or rather forced) to look into getting some wood working tools, i'm tired of dealing with people who fuck up and expect money.

take the neck off box it up, send it to me. ill fix the whole thing the way you want for free if you cover shipping.

jam all three single coils in there like you want it like this ||---| and then wire up 3 switches so you can have humbucker tones in the back or the front just by turning them on and off

i was thinking of doing something like that, lace red in the bridge and middle and sustainer in the neck.

3 jag switches placed like mustang switches, on for turning on/off the middle pickup, and the other 2 for running the sustainer (requires 2 2way switches).



probably something like that w/o the 5 way.

once this thing is done, the neck and noho/tribi guard will probably go up here for mega bro deals, you want first grabs rob?

my buddy nabbed a q-tron and i used the reverse setting on the dd-20 to make some really cool swell sounds out of it. it was one of my first pedals and it is a great work horse delay.
