It's a bit over the top, but I actually did like the clips.

i agree it's very fancy but the sounds that come out of it are really interesting, i always liked the idea of bit shifting guitars and there's pedals out there saying they do it but when you hear them it just sounds like any other fuzz..;
this thing sounds unique and i like it for that. plus you can put a drumcomputer or a voice or whatever shit through it.

fuuuck..i wanna know what the price is (well checked the comments, dude of depeche mode uses it ? and..it's $299 ...stupid)

That is pretty neat, but not $299 neat.

yeah.. it's got those glitches i haven't heard in many other pedals though even of they claim they'll do it..they don't..this one is real wacky. you can get close to game boy sounds with a guitar, bass or drumcomputer which is fucking ace.

I've seen this before, looks like fun.

Wait for the Mike version. He may not have one in the works yet, but where there's glasses there's fire.

haha.. I could never build this, it looks crackers. For a start it has an actual computer in there with non volatile memory which remembers the waveshapes. Madness.

In this case for what you're getting tech wise I would say $299 is justified, as it's not a simple box. It sounds horrid though.

AFAIKE! STOLDEN FROM DWARFKRaFT
but seriously, as much as that atari will do I would say it is worth the price

I've noticed this pedal without hearing it. In fact I've actively decided not to hear it. It will come up in the 'related videos' when I look at something else from PGS or some other demo site and it looked expensive so I thought it would be best I didn't give myself to like it. It's odd because it's very rare that I would make a decision like that.

It turns out I was completely justified and the only good thing is I haven't yet seen a UK dealer. I'm going to have a look for one now and if it's not something silly like £299 and matches up at least a little to the US price, I might go for it. I'm fairly sure anytime I thought it was too expensive I could just plug something into it, crank up an amp and the delightful mess that results will justify the price.

Whatever happens, Kim, my bank balance owes you a punch in the crotch.

hahaha

yeah, sorry about that james, i'm punching myself over this too, i think next stage will be

making a list of pros and cons and how muh more broke i can get..see if it's worth it compared to the awesome sound possibilities and pain in head and crotch

300 euro is a lot for a pedal but yeah, it's a complex thing with lots of possibilities so that sort of justifies the price, but i'm not sure it's justified for someone like me to spend 300 euro on a pedal.

Nothing particularly exciting but..

US ebay (tonefactor and another) sell for $299+$20 for about £195
Another on ebayfrom Belgium for £256 (€299)

There are at least two Belgian dealers and no UK ones. I guess it doesn't matter because it would probably be £299 here anyway.

check my earlier post, there's a link to de musica, a musicshop in belgium that sells online (kinda far from me, it's in wallony)

it's priced 299euro on their site, don't think you'll find it cheaper in the uk if you find it unless you're lucky and can score one secondhand. if you're after it and that shop in belgium doesn't ship to uk i can help you though.

One of the results that came up was someone selling one on a UK classifieds site. They wanted £275 for it. Fuck that. It was no longer listed on the site and google didn't have a cached version to look at, so I couldnt read the details but the price was there in the search.

I think I'd probably pay £150-170 for one, which means I'll never get one.

Get a yank to buy you one from PGS and ship it as a gift, or buy it from them, I believe they ship internationally.

$299 = £177.68

Buying Tone Factor through ebay would be a decent way to do that $299 + $20 shipping. But I still plan on being over there myself later in the year, so I might wait for that and buy it in a shop myself. There's a chance I could pick up something else at the same time and get a better deal (hello Rickenbacker).

The only reason to rush to get one now would be to take it to Doogfest and it's too soon for that to happen.
