Hai Shortscale,

As showcased in my Teisco MEGA PROJECT!!!1 thread, my girlfriend and I are very capable of hand-painting patterns onto pickguards and such. She also surprised me just recently with a painted pickguard/truss rod cover for my Univox.

We were on the fence for a while about offering out our services, but after doing these two projects we've decided that we're ready to offer treatments for pickguards. Prices will vary based on pickguard size and design. It'd be cheaper if you can supply your own pickguard. PM me and we can figure out what kind of designs/colors you'd want to have. We can also surprise you. :D

If that's what you'd be interested in, then yeah. We can do it.

We'd put the acrylic paint down first, then shoot a few coats of clear.

I might be able to do this in few weeks, I have my own pick guard I can supply, so put me down as a 'possibly'.

I'm honestly sold as far as looks go, i realize that price will fluctuate, but how much would it be for a telecaster scratchplate run?
If the price is fair i will probably ship you this guard and style it in the same fashion as that univox

this will be the guitar [pardon the photoshoping i've done]

not liking the dark blue on the lighter blue but im sure you can work out what colours would zing together

Bump for some fuck Offsetguitars.com action:

Spent the past week and a half making mock-ups in photoshop for a certain member of Offsetguitars.com. First he wanted a Strat pickguard, then he wanted a Washburn Idol pickguard. No worries, I can do that in photoshop since my girlfriend lives an hour+ away from me (until college comes back). I was going back and forth sending him designs and asking him what he likes/dislikes. I made a good 4/5 drafts, we bought paint... we were all ready to go.

I finally come up with a design in photoshop that he really enjoys. Alright, cool. Or not. The next day he's like, "I think I can just do this myself, thanks."

No buddy, that's not how it works.

/ramble

Now we have lots of acrylic pant and nothing to brush it onto. Any of you guys that are actually interested in using our full service and not just using us, PM me. We really just want a project or two to lift us back up, even if we're not making as much profit as we intended.

So he was going to pay you to design and paint his pickguard, you designed it and then he decided to paint it himself? What a cunt.

Don't bother with 'certain member', name and shame.

Yeah, you're very welcome for the pattern... dick.

Although it was based around the style of that Sharpie'd Lambo, I did spend some quality time making several different mock-ups that fit TWO the different guitars he wanted our services on.

Here's the mock-up I made for him btw:

And here's his guitar (for those who don't want to click the link)

Woah, we're getting lots of requests now! Thank you so much, everyone!

We'd love to take on your custom orders, just send me a PM! After a few pickguards, we'll be able to start stocking the store with more 'guards. :)

Just a thought re: that knob who strung you along - there is a 'good experiences with members' thread on Offset much like here. I think you're fully justified to go public there and perhaps a quiet PM explaining your thoughts on being taken for a ride to one of the Mods 9they seem like decent well meaning types). As a member of that forum i'd consider it a service for you to highlight someone who i won't ever have dealings with under any capacity EVAH, and so would others.

I know it's been a while, but I'm off for Christmas vacation (ahem, "holiday") and I've got the time to take orders if there's any interest. Had some less-than-ethical transactions with people in the past (*cough* OSG *cough*, but I'm still a trusting dude so send me a PM.

Not sure if I posted it here already, but here's my telecaster with a guard I painted a while back. Can't find the better pictures so this'll have to suffice.
