i thought that was really good. how long does it take to do a film of that length these days? just wondering if computers make it any easier. the only animation i've ever done was the old-fashioned way, it took aaages and it was only at the very end i realised my efforts were in vain- it was complete toss.

Superb.
What do you use to make it? Did you edit the audio at all to fit the timing?
How much of your ideas were based on the music? I love this sort of thing where the music directs the action.

Thanks! It took about 6 months, on top of a full time job. I've never done any 'traditional' (paper and pen) animation, but I'm fairly certain the whole process is a lot quicker on computers.
I used Flash, After Effects, Photoshop and Cinema 4D to make it. The audio wasn't edited at all, I animated to the music. Sadly, once it was exported it went a bit out of sync.

I noticed this a little with some of the transient parts towards the end. It's a shame because you still get the impression that it was originally in time. Overall the music works very well but there are a few places in particular that stand out. The opening loud chord is one of them, and the part after a battle sequence where the ground begins to crack. There are quite a few little battle bits that stood out too.

All of those videos are brilliant. My favourite is the bit in the SFA video where the guys runs in and smashes the guitar and the starts dancing with the amp, drumkit and bass.
