Mmmmm, wasn't really that into One Light Is Gone. Thought it was a bit too... old lady music? Not terrible, just a bit too 'Jennifer Aniston breaks up with the guy she thought was the one...' (...but don't worry folks, they'll get back together by the end of the film).

I really liked Troubled Win though.

And of course Nick Drake is brilliant and your cover is perfect. Really great. Is that song in DADGAD?

so not from 'the break-up,' then? just every other flick of hers.

I'll let Ms Aniston know that we've got film music for her... I know what you mean, quite sunday morning Radio 2 material which could work in the right context... parents seem to like it, or maybe that should be grandparents? hmm..

'Day is Done' is A minor Capo 5 (so D minor) - turned out really well for the first take  - we need to video it sat in a garden at the end of the day for youtube purposes.

Really pleased with the strings on Troubled Win, even if it sounds a bit keyboardy in places - should really edit it again but they'll eventually get replaced by a real person I hope...

Thanks all for listening!

I love the Nick Drake cover. A very nice showcase for both of you.

*blows dust off*

lots more demos on the last.fm page, and we recently submitted the EP to recordunion, so hopefully at least that will be spotify/amazon-able soonish.

also recording the album up in oxford, trying to sort out string arrangements that don't all sound like Drake's "Way to Blue", and playing lots of gigs around london and oxford. Hoping to get everything mixed by end of january, for a release early march... depends on everyone's availability though (producers, string players etc)...

not been SS.org for a while though, on account of losing job, then getting back into a contracting role.. which basically means no time to arse about...
