by endsjustifymeans
The way he has the strings going through the bridge into the bigsby? wouldn't it snap the strings? Does my 51 need a bigsby?

it works but it creats a lot more tension and friction, i would say its bad news. I'll probably bigsby my tele and drill out slots so it doesn't touch anything but saddles

that seems all sorts of wrong...though i guess in theory it's like a TOM in that the strings just rest on the bridge saddles...still...wtFUCK was he thinking?

Looks like a recipe for many broken strings to me. Deffo cut the slots out for sure.

The only thing potentially wrong with it is the point where the strings go through the back of the bridge plate. It depends entirely on how he's prepared those holes. If he's just drilled them, strings are gonna be a-snapping. If he's drilled them and and amde it so the edge of the hole is a smooth curved surface it'll work fine.

A resounding 'No' from me - tuning issues central, that is.

And also strings sliding all over the saddles.
