Does anyone know where I can get a new set of F Tuners for my 65 ri Mustang? I'd like them to have the faded white tips like the 65 ri come with stock not the bright ones ones. 2 of my tuners plastic tips have cracked a little and come off and I had to crazy glue them back on and a few others are starting to crack : / Also does anyone know the size of the tuner holes and the bushings for the 65 ri mustangs?

thanks

honestly you think of all people i would know the answer to this but i don't.

mg65 F tuners are a rare beast.

i will attest that the regular bright white ones only stay white for about 3 months before i got them cruddy

did you buy it from a store? if so take it back. even if not, a fender dealer should be able to order them in for you.

I did not find them anywhere as replacement parts. If you need a complete set, contact Fender in your country ... according to theier homepage, these tuning machines are made by Gotoh, that may also be an option.

But the plastic heads are sold separately, they do cost some 1 or 2 dollars each.

Just renew these things, if the tuners themselves are not damaged. You can also have it done by a luthier, it takes just some 3-4 minutes each tuner. Should be affordable and no big deal. (I did pay 10 € for renewing 3 tuner heads on my acoustic ... same operation)

k I think I found a set but I just wanna make sure they are the right size, would 1" tuner shaft 3/8" bushings and the screw holes are 1-1/16" apart center-to-center and mounted diagonally. Would these work? If not where can I find the normal bright ones all I can find are the metal chrome F tuners.

Thanks

yea, I've never seen the white plastic ones for sale anywhere. I would recommend keeping your eye out on eBay. you can sometimes find vintage sets on there for a pretty good price since these were never on strats or teles.

i had a problem with one of my 65 reissue's machine-heads. took fender over a month to get hold of one. they have to order them from fender japan. you'd think they'd keep them in stock. it's only 6 months old, so i had it on warranty.

I bought a set from a guy who was parting out a new Duo. That's all I know.
